Viru: A Friend Indeed!

As it can be seen, Virender Sehwag is very friendly by nature. Some of his best cricketing friends include Sachin Tendulkar,Gautam Gambhir,Harbhjan Singh and Yuvraj Singh.

• As an opener, as well as a middle order batsman, Sehwag holds many partnership records. Sehwag and his opening partner Gautam Gambhir have together scored 7199 runs in international cricket. Together with Gambhir, he has scored 4412 runs in Tests, 2242 runs in ODI and 545 runs in T20I.

• In Test cricket, one of the best opening partnerships in which Sehwag has batted for India is 410 which was between Sehwag and Dravid. It came vs Pakistan in 2006.

Another Friend

•  David Warner is one of the best friends of Viru. They played together in the IPL for Delhi Daredevils. Sehwag is an inspiration to Warner. He said "Sehwag inspired me" before making his Test debut. Warner also says "Two years ago, when I went to Delhi, Sehwag watched me a couple of times and said to me 'You'll be a better Test cricketer than what you will be a Twenty20 player.'"
