Virender Sehwag(वीरेंद्र सहवाग) was born on 20 October 1978 at Najafgarh, New Delhi. He was born to Krishan and Krishna Sehwag in a Jat family. He did his graduation from Jamia Milia Islamia.
Sehwag married Aari Ahlawat in April 2004. They have two sons, Aryavir and Vedant.
Sehwag has many nicknames. These include:

- Nawab of Najafgarh
- Multan ka Sultan
- Najafgarh ka Kasai
